All are welcome to celebrate the grand opening of the new Foster Elementary School with us on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 3:00-6:00 p.m. Join us for refreshments, music and fun. Get to know the new Foster community and tour the new state-of-the-art Foster Elementary School.
When: Friday, August 7, 2026, 3:00-6:00 PM
Ribbon-cutting ceremony at 3:30 PM
Where: Foster Elementary School, 1600 Simpson St., Evanston, IL

Tour, guided tours will be available in English and Spanish.
Refresh, enjoy treats, music and other fun activities!
Afterward, you are invited to continue the celebration with the City of Evanston Parks and Rec Department at the First Friday event at Mason Park (Church St. and Florence Ave.) from 5-8 p.m. Enjoy free food, music, activities, and lots of fun!
